Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box like eggs, oil, and water)

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut cream or full-fat coconut milk

  • 1 ½ cups shredded sweetened coconut

  • 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip or Homemade Cool Whip Substitute

  • ¼ cup chocolate syrup or ganache (for drizzling)

  • Optional: ½ cup chopped Mounds bars (for garnish)

  • Optional: ½ tsp almond extract (if you want an Almond Joy twist)


Instructions

 Prepare the Chocolate Cake

 

  • Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions.

  • Grease your 9×13 baking dish thoroughly.

  • Prepare the cake batter as directed on the box or follow your own recipe.

  • Pour the batter into the pan and bake as instructed (usually 30–35 minutes).

  • Check doneness with a toothpick — it should come out clean from the center.
